Head of Platform Engineering (Fintech): Building and operating reliable platform infrastructure for a programmable business bank with an accent on Go services, GCP, Kubernetes, authentication, and production reliability. What you will do
- Own the technical direction and evolution of the platform infrastructure.
- Design, build, and operate reliable platform systems and production services on GCP, Kubernetes, and Go.
- Implement OAuth 2.0 authentication flows and integrations, and work with Temporal for workflow orchestration.
- Manage cloud networking and production databases, including VPC, Cloud IPsec, KMS, Cloud SQL, and PostgreSQL.
- Improve infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD, observability, monitoring, and alerting practices.
- Lead complex technical problems, production incidents, architectural decisions, and mentoring as the platform function grows.
Requirements
- Significant hands-on experience in platform, infrastructure, or backend engineering.
- Strong production experience with Go, GCP, Kubernetes, Temporal, OAuth 2.0, Cloud SQL, and PostgreSQL.
- Experience with cloud networking, including VPC, Cloud IPsec, and KMS.
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD, observability, monitoring, alerting, and production troubleshooting.
- Experience as a technical lead or engineering leader with strong architectural decision-making and communication skills.
- Ability to remain hands-on, participate in the on-call rotation, handle production incidents, and mentor engineers.
Nice to have
- Experience in fintech, banking, payments, or other financial technology environments.
- Experience with highly regulated or security-conscious systems where security, reliability, and availability are critical.
