Junior Firmware Engineer (DSP/Embedded)

What you will do

• Design, implement, debug, and optimize firmware for DSPs and microcontrollers in real-time applications.
• Meet strict latency, throughput, memory, processing, and communication-interface constraints.
• Optimize signal-processing algorithms and embedded systems.
• Perform code reviews, design evaluations, testing, and validation.
• Investigate hardware and software issues and ensure reliable, robust, and standards-compliant systems.
• Create and maintain technical documentation.

Requirements

• Experience designing, simulating, implementing, verifying, and validating real-time systems on DSPs and microcontrollers.
• Programming experience in C and C++.
• Knowledge of RTOS concepts and usage, including FreeRTOS or Zephyr.
• Knowledge of digital electronic circuits and signal-processing algorithms such as FFT, digital filters, and resampling.
• Experience with laboratory equipment, including oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and signal generators.
• Experience with communication protocols including I2C, SPI, UART, RS485, RS232, and RGMII; familiarity with Bash or Python scripting.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of SHARC or equivalent DSP architectures and CMake.
• Experience with Git, GitLab, Docker, CI/CD, Artifactory, and Agile methodologies.
• Knowledge of application-layer protocols such as DNP, 1588, and MQTT.
• Knowledge of electronic components, PCB reworking, or TCL scripting.
