DevOps Engineer - SRE Focus (Azure)

Location: Gothenburg, Sweden. The role includes participation in an on-call rotation of approximately one week in four during peak tax season from March to July. Applicants may be required to attend an onsite interview at a hirify.global office.

What you will do

• Ensure the reliability, availability, performance, and resilience of customer-facing applications hosted in Microsoft Azure.
• Monitor, investigate, and resolve incidents and production platform issues using SRE practices.
• Maintain and improve Azure infrastructure, diagnostics, logging, monitoring, and observability.
• Maintain and extend Infrastructure as Code with Terraform and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and GitHub.
• Automate repetitive operational processes and develop tools with Python, Bash, or similar technologies.
• Collaborate with engineering, cloud operations, security, and development teams to improve production readiness and compliance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Approximately 5+ years of experience in DevOps, DevSecOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or a similar production-focused engineering role.
• Strong hands-on experience supporting and troubleshooting cloud-based applications in Microsoft Azure.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code, preferably Terraform, and CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps or GitHub.
• Experience with incident management, monitoring, root cause analysis, scripting, and operational automation.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and continuous-improvement skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Kubernetes and Docker.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted engineering tools for troubleshooting, automation, or operational support.
• Experience in a large-scale enterprise or matrix organization with established governance and engineering standards.
