TL;DR
Group Financial Accountant (IFRS/Local GAAP): Managing full-cycle accounting, closing, reporting, tax compliance, audits, and consolidation support for assigned entities across an international maritime logistics organisation with an accent on statutory accuracy, financial integrity, and process harmonisation. Focus on analysing variances, resolving complex accounting matters, coordinating audits, and supporting Finance transformation and ERP implementation projects.

What you will do

  • Manage full general ledger accounting for assigned hirify.global entities.
  • Lead month-end and year-end closing, including accruals, provisions, reconciliations, and complex accounting adjustments.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, annual, and statutory financial reports in accordance with IFRS and Local GAAP.
  • Prepare and review VAT, corporate income tax, and other statutory filings.
  • Coordinate internal and external audits and support budgeting, forecasting, and Group consolidation.
  • Drive Finance process harmonisation, continuous improvement, transformation, and system implementation projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or an equivalent qualification.
  • 7–10 years of relevant accounting experience in an international or multi-entity environment.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS, Local GAAP, statutory reporting, taxation, closing, financial reporting, and audits.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, ownership, and a solution-oriented approach.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems.
  • Fluent English is required.

Nice to have

  • Additional European languages, particularly French.
  • Experience with financial consolidation.
