TL;DR
Lead Architect - Data & AI (Microsoft Fabric/Azure AI): Designing enterprise-scale Data & AI, generative AI, and agentic AI architectures across Microsoft and multi-cloud ecosystems with an accent on reusable offerings, governance, security, and production-grade services. Focus on shaping global architecture standards, building lakehouse and AI solutions, advising strategic customers, and enabling distributed delivery teams through reference architectures and technical leadership.
Location: Sofia, Bulgaria; Bucharest, Romania; or Madrid, Spain. Hybrid work arrangement. A valid working visa for the country of employment is required.

What you will do
- Define and drive the global Data & AI architecture strategy with a Microsoft-first, multi-cloud approach.
- Lead architecture for modern data platforms, lakehouse and analytics solutions, enterprise AI, RAG, agentic AI, and production-grade AI services.
- Develop scalable, repeatable offerings, reference architectures, implementation patterns, playbooks, statements of work, and technical collateral.
- Support strategic customer engagements through workshops, presales, solution shaping, architecture reviews, feasibility assessments, and executive discussions.
- Establish standards for governance, Responsible AI, security, observability, reliability, FinOps, and lifecycle management.
- Partner with Microsoft, technology providers, and global teams while mentoring delivery teams and remaining hands-on through prototyping and technical leadership.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in data platforms, analytics, AI engineering, cloud architecture, solution architecture, or enterprise consulting, with an enterprise-scale delivery record.
- Deep expertise in Microsoft Fabric, Microsoft Foundry, Azure AI Services, and related architecture patterns.
- Strong knowledge of AWS, Google Cloud, Anthropic, and other leading Data & AI ecosystems.
- Experience designing and scaling modern data platforms, generative AI, RAG, agentic AI, model orchestration, observability, governance, and production-grade AI solutions.
- Experience creating reusable architecture standards, consulting offerings, delivery methodologies, and technical assets.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills for working with senior business and technology leaders across global, matrixed organizations. Fluent/professional written and verbal English is required.
