Finance Manager (Argentina and Uruguay)

Location: Buenos Aires, Argentina; on-site. Office-first work is the default, with flexibility when needed.

What you will do

• Own the monthly close for Argentina and Uruguay and reconcile results to group reporting.
• Manage tax compliance, statutory reporting, audits, and local inflation-adjusted reporting across both countries.
• Build accounting processes, controls, documentation, approvals, and audit-ready source-of-truth practices.
• Manage treasury operations, including cash positions, FX execution, import compliance, and supplier payments.
• Lead and develop a Financial Accountant and Billing Admin.
• Partner with the South America finance leadership and the global finance team in New Zealand on planning, consolidation, reporting, and group requirements.

Requirements

• 6–10 years of experience in accounting, controllership, or audit, including hands-on Argentine tax and statutory experience.
• End-to-end ownership of a monthly close.
• Working knowledge of inflation-adjusted reporting and IFRS, with the ability to reconcile local and group reporting.
• Fluency in Spanish and English is required.
• Experience managing or mentoring team members.
• Ability to create scalable finance processes where limited infrastructure exists, with strong accuracy and ownership.

Nice to have

• Uruguayan tax and compliance experience.
• Big Four experience or experience in a multinational subsidiary reporting to an offshore parent.
• Experience with NetSuite or a comparable ERP.
• Experience automating finance processes or using AI to improve leverage.
