What you will do
- Support the VP, External Communications, in developing and executing corporate media relations strategy.
- Advise the Executive Steering Committee and senior leaders on corporate reputation, employee engagement, and communications risks.
- Lead crisis communications preparedness, frameworks, and scenario planning.
- Build media relationships, manage proactive and reactive media engagement, and serve as a company spokesperson.
- Develop corporate narratives and coordinate global public relations campaigns across Australia, New Zealand, and the Asia Pacific region.
- Monitor media coverage, maintain project dashboards, and track high-priority initiatives, risks, and performance indicators.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, corporate affairs, public relations, journalism, marketing, or a related field.
- At least 8 years of experience in a similar role, with a track record of delivering media and public relations campaigns.
- Experience leading crisis communications, complex media issues, and international PR campaigns.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking and spokesperson experience.
- Knowledge of financial earnings requirements for public companies and social networks including LinkedIn, Meta, and Instagram.
- Strong project management, collaboration, event planning, vendor management, and Microsoft 365 skills.
