Global Supply Manager (Solar)

Location: Los Angeles, CA, United States. The role requires travel up to 25–50% of the time and involves lifting and carrying parts or equipment up to 25 lbs unassisted.

Base salary: $100,000–$140,000 per year, plus company equity.

hirify.global develops and mass-produces high-power satellite platforms for missions ranging from low Earth orbit to deep space, with plans to scale production to 100 satellites per year.

What you will do

• Source solar array and module hardware, including components required on expedited lead times.
• Negotiate supplier costs, contracts, and price reductions for solar array and module components.
• Manage Bills of Materials for solar array and module assemblies.
• Lead Clear to Builds with engineering to complete assembly milestones and meet company deadlines.
• Develop and manage suppliers from new product introduction through production.
• Coordinate supplier onboarding, evaluation, negotiation, and project management with engineering, production, and finance.

Requirements

• 5+ years of supply chain management or engineering experience in the aerospace industry.
• 5+ years of procurement experience with machined and sheet metal components, composites, and solar cells.
• Experience managing suppliers in a fast-paced environment.
• Understanding of solar array and module hardware in space environments and operations.
• Strong knowledge of quality control practices, including issue tickets.
• Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, production, and finance.
• Must be a U.S. person under ITAR regulations or otherwise eligible for a federally issued export control license.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, finance, mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, mathematics, or a related discipline.
• Experience procuring capital equipment, composites, aluminum, or flex circuits.
• 5+ years of technical procurement or new product introduction experience.
• Experience implementing AS9100 or completing AS9100 audits.
• Forklift certification and ability to read and interpret technical engineering drawings.
