TL;DR
Lead Value Engineer (Mining): Building evidence-based value baselines, simulations, and customer business cases for MineStar mining technologies with an accent on mine planning, operational performance, and financial impact. Focus on quantifying productivity, cost, safety, and utilization gains, validating value during deployments, and presenting complex analyses to customers and executive stakeholders.

Location: Santiago, Chile; onsite five days a week. Full-time role with up to 25% travel, including customer site visits. Relocation to Chile is available. Visa sponsorship is not available.

What you will do

  • Lead regional value engineering for MineStar technology deployments and customer business cases.
  • Establish operational, production, cost, and performance baselines using customer data.
  • Build value simulations and financial models covering productivity, cost, safety, and equipment utilization.
  • Apply mine planning and mining operations expertise to evaluate haul cycles, fleet sizing, equipment utilization, material movement, and operating constraints.
  • Partner with Commercial, Sales, Performance Intelligence, Performance Monitoring, dealers, and Customer Value Enablement teams.
  • Define value targets, support value realization reviews, and present findings to customer operations, mine planning, finance, and executive stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Deep experience with surface and/or underground mining operations, including load and haul, fleet management, productivity, and cost drivers.
  • Experience in short- and long-term mine planning, production scheduling, fleet sizing, and haulage analysis.
  • Ability to build value baselines, business cases, financial models, benchmarks, and simulations.
  • Working knowledge of MineStar, autonomous haulage, fleet management, or similar mining technologies.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field, with significant mining operations, mine planning, or operational improvement experience.
  • Advanced English is required.

Nice to have

  • Advanced degree or business/finance qualification.
  • Experience with haulage simulation, scheduling software, Excel modeling, Power BI, or similar analytics tools.
  • Customer-facing experience in commercial pursuits, consulting, or technical sales.
  • Experience working across cultures and with remote, site-based, and customer-embedded teams.
