Network Engineer III (Cisco)

Location: Remote; applicants in Mexico only

What you will do

• Install, monitor, maintain, support, and optimize network hardware, software, communications links, and routing protocols.
• Plan, design, and develop LAN, WAN, VPN, firewall, intrusion detection, and network access control solutions.
• Monitor, analyze, and resolve advanced network hardware and software problems.
• Create and maintain physical and logical network documentation covering VLANs, firewalls, and routing protocols.
• Improve network communications options and internal infrastructure processes.
• Support Level I and Level II engineers, equipment installations, major repairs, and customer network reliability.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; an information technology degree is preferred.
• Ten years of experience in a networking field.
• CCNP certification required.
• Advanced network troubleshooting, technical problem-solving, documentation, organization, and self-direction skills.
• Ability to explain advanced technical concepts to leaders, customers, and other engineers.
• Schedule: 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Nice to have

• Fortinet, Cisco Meraki, A+, or OEM equipment certifications.
• Familiarity with ASTEA.
