Fund Data Consultant (Investment Data)

Location: Cape Town, South Africa; hybrid work with four days in the office each week in most locations

Base salary: ZAR 441,860.00–619,224.66 annually; annual bonus target: 7.5%

What you will do

• Represent and explain data workflows, processes, and methodologies to asset managers and clients.
• Acquire and onboard new and complex data sets to expand the quality of analytics delivered to clients.
• Partner with product, sales, and support teams on prospect discovery, RFP responses, lead generation, and client data questions.
• Collaborate with local, global, and data development teams to align priorities with South African market requirements.
• Manage database enhancement projects, including analysis of market trends and regulatory changes.
• Liaise with associations and working groups to design data collection plans, monitor competitors, and represent client needs.

Requirements

• Solid understanding of the local investment management industry and strong interest in investment data.
• Significant experience in a financial data role.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills.
• Previous project management and relationship management experience is highly preferred.
• Availability to work in the Cape Town hybrid environment, with regular in-office collaboration.
