DC Operations Manager - Critical Infrastructure (AI)

Salary: $140,000–$180,000 per year

What you will do

• Own daily operations of electrical and mechanical critical infrastructure, including UPS systems, generators, switchgear, PDUs, chillers, CRAH/CRAC units, and cooling systems.
• Maintain high availability and uptime, monitor facility performance through BMS/DCIM, and lead incident response, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance programs, third-party vendors, service providers, and adherence to SOPs, EOPs, and MOPs.
• Partner with engineering, infrastructure, network, hardware, and data center operations teams on capacity planning, scaling, PUE, reliability, sustainability, and advanced cooling improvements.
• Lead facility safety, compliance, audits, inspections, regulatory interactions, and operational readiness documentation.
• Support commissioning, FAT/SAT, system validation, handover, and the transition of new or expanded infrastructure into steady-state operations.

Requirements

• Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States and provide proof of employment eligibility.
• 7–10+ years of experience in data center or mission-critical facilities operations.
• Hands-on knowledge of electrical distribution, UPS systems, generators, switchgear, chillers, HVAC, CRAH/CRAC units, and related cooling infrastructure.
• Experience operating high-availability environments with strict uptime requirements and managing vendors, maintenance programs, and incident response.
• Familiarity with BMS/DCIM monitoring systems and experience developing and enforcing SOPs, EOPs, and MOPs.
• Strong understanding of safety, compliance, regulatory requirements, and HSE standards.

Nice to have

• Experience in hyperscale, colocation, or AI/GPU-driven data centers.
• Exposure to high-density environments, liquid cooling, and other advanced cooling solutions.
• Experience with new site builds, commissioning, or infrastructure expansions.
• Basic understanding of IT infrastructure, racks, power distribution, and hardware.
