Product Analytics Analyst Sr (Insurance)

Location: Bloomington, Illinois, United States

Base pay: $94,400–$129,800 per year, plus eligibility for a short-term incentive plan.

What you will do

• Develop product insights and recommendations for new product development and the enhancement of existing insurance products.
• Analyze premium rates, loss experience, retention, underwriting profitability, and business mix in assigned states.
• Develop state-level business profit and growth strategies with marketing and Market Managers.
• Research competitors’ rates, service levels, financial positions, operating strategies, business directions, and technologies.
• Coordinate with IT on rate revisions, new products, product features, and other initiatives.
• Build working relationships with Accounting, Actuarial, Claims, Customer Service, and IT.

Requirements

• 7+ years of analytical work experience or equivalent experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or a related field.
• Experience in personal or commercial lines pricing, product analytics, or a related analytical field.
• Strong ability to develop insights and apply advanced analytics to business outcomes.
• High technical proficiency with SQL, SAS, Python, R, Tableau, advanced Excel, and cloud-based platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Cloudera.
• Exceptional research, critical thinking, problem-solving, decision-making, communication, and relationship-building skills.
