Senior Data Engineer (Fintech)

What you will do

• Design and evolve the architecture of the data infrastructure and maintain the core data platform.
• Build, operate, and improve reliable data ingestion and ETL/ELT pipelines for analytics and data products.
• Develop data models for large and complex datasets and establish simple data lifecycle processes.
• Improve data governance, reliability, quality, and observability across key datasets.
• Collaborate with analysts, analytics engineers, and engineering teams to deliver reliable production solutions.
• Participate in on-call rotation, investigate incidents, contribute to code reviews, and maintain technical documentation and runbooks.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering, data platform engineering, or software engineering with data.
• Strong SQL expertise, including complex analytical and warehouse queries.
• Proficiency in Python and/or Java, with strong software engineering principles.
• Experience with data warehouses such as Snowflake or Apache Iceberg, data warehousing, dimensional modelling, and data architecture.
• Practical experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, CI/CD, automated testing, and Git-based workflows.
• Knowledge of streaming tools, ETL/ELT tooling, observability practices, and production troubleshooting.
