TL;DR
Data Science Lead (Machine Learning/Big Data): Developing statistically effective algorithms and analytical solutions for complex business challenges with an accent on high-dimensional data, machine learning, and predictive modeling. Focus on building scalable analytical assets, evaluating emerging datasets and technologies, leading client-facing projects, and mentoring data science team members.
Location: Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires, Argentina. Hybrid working model combining work from home with on-site presence at client locations or offices for most of the week. Client-facing work may require travel as needed.

What you will do
- Develop efficient statistical algorithms for high-dimensional problems.
- Apply hypothesis testing, machine learning, retrieval processes, statistical analysis, and data mining to identify trends and produce insights.
- Collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders to integrate and communicate analytical solutions.
- Assess emerging datasets and technologies and develop scalable analytical assets and accelerators.
- Support research, thought leadership, and publication activities.
- Guide and mentor associate team members while leading client-facing projects.
Requirements
- PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field, or a master’s degree with at least 5 years of relevant post-collegiate experience.
- Strong academic background with an emphasis on analytical and quantitative coursework.
- Knowledge of big data, advanced analytics, and algorithms such as text mining, social listening, recommender systems, or predictive modeling.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language, including Java, Python, or R, and experience with Hadoop, Amazon Web Services, or database systems.
- Experience with agile project planning, project management, client interaction, proposal development, and team leadership.
- Fluent English required. Candidates must possess or be able to obtain work authorization for their intended country of employment.
