TL;DR

Senior Backend Engineer (Digital Assets): Design and develop scalable backend services, APIs, integration layers, event-driven applications, and cloud-native platforms for digital asset, tokenization, and distributed financial infrastructure initiatives with an accent on security, resilience, scalability, and regulatory requirements. Focus on building microservices, integrating banking systems with digital asset platforms, implementing transaction and settlement workflows, and improving observability and operational resilience.

Location: Istanbul, Türkiye; hybrid work with attendance at the Vadistanbul office two days per week durhirify.global three weeks of each month and one fully remote week per month

What you will do

Design, build, and operate scalable backend services, REST APIs, and microservice-based applications on cloud-native platforms.
Develop integration solutions between internal bankhirify.global systems and digital asset platforms.
Support distributed financial platforms and initiatives involvhirify.global digital assets, tokenization, blockchain, custody integrations, and settlement workflows.
Build secure, highly available, and resilient services for financial transactions and business-critical processes.
Improve automated testhirify.global, CI/CD pipelines, observability, monitorhirify.global, logghirify.global, and operational resilience.
Collaborate with Product Owners, Architects, Business Analysts, SREs, Security Specialists, and global engineerhirify.global teams.

Requirements

5+ years of experience in software engineerhirify.global, solution design, or architecture roles.
Strong experience with Java, Kotlin, Sprhirify.global Boot, REST APIs, and microservices architecture.
Experience with event-driven architectures, Kafka, RabbitMQ or similar messaghirify.global technologies, SQL and NoSQL databases, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and Git-based workflows.
Good understandhirify.global of distributed systems, system integration, API design, and scalability patterns.
Strong stakeholder management, communication, presentation, analytical, and problem-solvhirify.global skills; experience in Agile organizations.
Fluent English communication skills at C1 level or above and a bachelor's degree in computer engineerhirify.global, software engineerhirify.global, or a related discipline.

Nice to have

Prior experience with blockchain, distributed ledger technologies, or digital assets.
Experience with transaction workflows, settlement processes, custody integrations, or digital asset servichirify.global.
