Construction Supervisor - Pipeline/Flowline (Oil and Gas)

Location: Onsite in Basra, Iraq; local nationals required

What you will do

• Supervise onsite construction activities for flowlines, piping systems, material installations, and mechanical works.
• Coordinate construction crews, subcontractors, vendors, and daily site operations.
• Monitor progress, resources, delays, documentation, and reporting for the Construction Manager.
• Review P&IDs, isometric drawings, piping layouts, structural drawings, and mechanical installation drawings.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, quality control, clients, and contractors to resolve technical and material issues.
• Support inspections, welding and pressure testing, site walk-downs, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and corrective actions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a construction-related field.
• At least five years of experience in the oil industry, including pipeline construction supervision on onshore Greenfield and brownfield projects.
• Strong knowledge of piping systems, flowlines, mechanical installations, international codes and standards, and project regulations.
• Experience with welding procedures, NDT, piping codes including ASME, API, and ANSI, pressure testing, and hydrotesting.
• Knowledge of HSE management, risk assessment, quality control, construction planning, and pipeline systems software.
• Fluency in Arabic and English, both verbal and written, is required; the role is for local nationals in Iraq.

Nice to have

• Experience with MS Project and Primavera.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
