Production Planner (SAP)

Location: Waltham, Massachusetts, United States; onsite role with physical manufacturing-environment requirements.

Salary: $125,000–$165,000 hourly range

What you will do

• Develop and manage master production schedules aligned with demand forecasts, manufacturing capacity, and resource availability.
• Lead scenario planning, capacity modeling, slot planning, and long-term facility capacity utilization.
• Lead the Sales & Operations Planning process, integrating demand planning, production scheduling, and inventory management.
• Coordinate Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Quality, Program Management, Commercial, and Finance stakeholders.
• Manage production schedules in SAP and monitor customer demand, manufacturing constraints, inventory levels, and GMP execution.
• Build reporting tools and KPIs to improve schedule adherence, forecast accuracy, manufacturing efficiency, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with at least 6 years of related experience, Master’s degree with at least 4 years, or PhD with at least 2 years.
• Strong strategic, analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, including scenario planning and capacity modeling.
• Proficiency in ERP systems, particularly SAP, for production scheduling and inventory management.
• Expertise in developing and managing S&OP processes, cross-functional coordination, and executive reporting.
• Advanced Microsoft Office and Excel skills for data analysis, modeling, and reporting.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stretch, lift 15–20 lbs, use ladders, wear PPE, and perform repetitive motions.

Nice to have

• Experience with Tableau or Power BI.
• Experience supporting technology transfers and clinical manufacturing scheduling.
