Senior Data Engineer (BigQuery)

Location: Hybrid in Vilnius or Kaunas, Lithuania

Salary: €4,300–€6,000 gross per month

What you will do

• Design and maintain scalable production-grade data pipelines, data models, and warehouse solutions.
• Improve the reliability, scalability, performance, and cost efficiency of the data platform infrastructure.
• Make architectural and technical decisions for the data ecosystem.
• Shape standards for testing, code quality, and infrastructure while reducing technical debt.
• Lead technical discussions and collaborate with data, AI, machine learning, intelligence, and other technical teams.
• Share knowledge and support the growth of other engineers.

Requirements

• Solid experience building and maintaining production-grade data pipelines and data warehouse solutions.
• Strong understanding of scalable, reliable, and maintainable data architecture.
• Hands-on experience with modern cloud data platforms and infrastructure.
• Experience with BigQuery, AWS, Terraform, dbt, Airflow, Spark, and AI coding assistants or agents, with willingness to learn across the stack.
• Good understanding of software engineering practices and confidence solving ambiguous technical problems.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with multiple technical teams.
