What you will do
- Own the industrial vision roadmap across production lines and defend related investments.
- Audit cameras and existing programs, establish baselines for escape and false reject rates, and review rejected images with production.
- Develop and deploy vision programs by tuning optics, lighting, thresholds, and Edge Learning tools.
- Integrate vision systems with automated stations, including triggering, PLC/IO handshakes, and robot guidance.
- Deploy camera programs on manual stations with supporting scripts and tooling.
- Define IQ/OQ/PQ qualification, maintain a versioned inspection library, and collaborate with R&D, quality, production, automation, manufacturing systems, and IT.
Requirements
- Engineering degree or equivalent with a strong academic record.
- At least 2 years of practical industrial vision experience in a production environment.
- Experience with an industrial vision platform or library, scripting, and automation involving PLCs or robots.
- Understanding of optics, lighting, false rejects, escapes, and inspection of assemblies such as PCBAs, solder joints, and connectors.
- Ability to build roadmaps and standards from scratch, work pragmatically on the shop floor, and operate autonomously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication in French and English is required. Security clearance may be required.
