AML Officer (Fintech): Ensuring AML compliance across merchant onboarding, consumer KYC, transaction monitoring, and internal compliance testing with an accent on SAMA regulations, risk classification, and fraud prevention. Focus on reviewing KYC files, identifying and escalating compliance breaches, creating corrective action plans, and maintaining effective AML controls.

What you will do

  • Translate applicable AML rules and regulations into practical business controls.
  • Conduct second-line merchant KYC verification before onboarding and maintain verification records.
  • Review consumer KYC through periodic sampling and report shortcomings.
  • Assess merchant MCC codes and AML risk levels across jurisdictions, products, channels, and legal structures.
  • Monitor transactions and ensure AML and fraud scenarios are implemented and periodically updated.
  • Perform compliance testing, document findings, escalate breaches, and agree corrective action plans with relevant departments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar AML or compliance role under SAMA.
  • Strong understanding of applicable rules and regulations and their practical application.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, organization, and time-management skills.
  • Customer-oriented approach with strong negotiation, analytical, and data-driven problem-solving skills.
