Software Engineering Manager (SaaS)

Location: Hybrid role based in Lagos, Nigeria

What you will do

• Lead and mentor multiple agile teams of software engineers, team leads, product managers, and data scientists.
• Manage a portfolio of web, mobile, integration, and SaaS technology projects.
• Provide architectural guidance and participate in design discussions, code reviews, solution selection, and challenging bug resolution.
• Drive the full software development life cycle, including strategy, resource allocation, development, testing, deployment, and operational priorities.
• Partner with business and technology leaders to translate vision and strategy into functional and business outcomes.
• Build high-performing teams and ensure delivery of secure, scalable, high-quality products.

Requirements

• Degree in computer science or a related field.
• 4+ years of software engineering leadership experience managing, architecting, and deploying SaaS applications in cloud-based infrastructure.
• 4+ years of experience with agile development and Scrum methodologies.
• 2–4 years of people management experience, including building and motivating large teams.
• Experience building consumer web and mobile software solutions, next-generation architectures, and SaaS products.
• Understanding of SaaS security risks, mitigation strategies, technical leadership, organizational planning, and cross-functional communication.

Nice to have

• Scrum Master certification or experience.
