TL;DR
Cyber Specialist (Cybersecurity): Conducting penetration tests, cloud security assessments, compliance readiness reviews, and remediation validation for Australian businesses with an accent on Azure, Entra ID, Essential Eight, SMB1001, and ISO 27001. Focus on reproducing and documenting vulnerabilities, hardening cloud environments, and providing actionable advisory and vCISO support.
Location: Brisbane, Australia. Candidates must have the right to work in Australia.
Salary: AUD 250,000–300,000 per annum.

What you will do
- Run penetration tests and security assessments using OWASP and ASD playbooks.
- Assess and harden cloud environments, including Azure and Entra ID.
- Guide clients through compliance readiness for the Essential Eight, SMB1001, ISO 27001, and the Privacy Act.
- Write manually verified findings with reproduction steps and recommended fixes.
- Re-test remediation and contribute to advisory engagements, including vCISO work.
Requirements
- Right to work in Australia.
- Hands-on experience in penetration testing or security assessments.
- Working knowledge of the Essential Eight, SMB1001, ISO 27001, and the Privacy Act.
- Engineering background sufficient to read code and communicate with developers.
- Strong reporting discipline, with findings manually verified and reproducible before reporting.
