Frontend Engineering Lead (Content)

Location: Düsseldorf, Germany; hybrid with up to two work-from-home days per week. Remote work from Germany or selected countries abroad is available for up to 20 days per year.

What you will do

• Coach and mentor a group of 3–4 software engineers through feedback, delegation, and development opportunities.
• Contribute hands-on to frontend engineering projects and model strong engineering practices.
• Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to turn strategic priorities into actionable plans.
• Define OKRs for the Content Frontend team and deliver fast, test-driven iterations.
• Build a trust-based environment with clear priorities, candid feedback, and healthy challenge.
• Promote AI-powered workflows and help engineers develop an AI-first approach.

Requirements

• Prior experience with JavaScript or TypeScript, strong HTML/CSS knowledge, and hands-on React experience.
• Experience with Next.js and GraphQL is beneficial, along with comfort in a fast-paced, A/B-testing-heavy environment.
• Experience leading, coaching, or mentoring engineers while delivering results.
• Confident, direct communication with senior stakeholders and the ability to adapt leadership style to individual needs.
• Curiosity, continuous learning, ambition, resilience, and a performance-oriented mindset.
• Daily hands-on use of AI tools in real engineering workflows and the ability to enable the same practice across the team.

• Experience with Next.js and GraphQL.
