Electromechanical / LV Supervisor (HV Substations): Supervising low-voltage installation works for the extension and upgrade of five high-voltage substations in Nigeria with an accent on LV distribution systems, cabling, subcontractor coordination, and quality compliance. Focus on preparing installations for commissioning and energization, managing interfaces with Protection & Control, SCADA, Telecom and HV equipment, and resolving punch items and NCRs.

Location: Onitsha, Anambra, Nigeria; site-based work in Nigeria, with assignment to one of the project sites

hirify.global is recruiting for a leading energy company delivering a turnkey project to extend and upgrade five existing high-voltage electrical substations.

What you will do

  • Represent the company on site for all low-voltage installation activities and ensure safe execution under the Zero Harm philosophy.
  • Supervise subcontractors installing LV switchboards, AC/DC distribution boards, UPS systems, battery chargers, batteries, auxiliary transformers, cables, trays, conduits and terminations.
  • Verify marshalling kiosks, local control cabinets, junction boxes, cable identification, routing, glanding, termination and continuity.
  • Coordinate interfaces between LV installation, Protection & Control, SCADA, Telecom and HV primary equipment.
  • Implement Inspection & Test Plans and Quality Plans while monitoring productivity, workmanship and construction progress.
  • Support Ready for Commissioning, energization and final handover, including punch items, NCRs, corrective actions and progress reporting.

Requirements

  • Open to Nigerian nationals only.
  • At least 7 years of experience supervising LV installation works on HV substations.
  • Experience with 132–330 kV AIS/GIS EPC projects.
  • Knowledge of LV switchboards, AC/DC auxiliary systems, cable installation and IEC standards.
  • Experience supervising subcontractors and working with approved drawings, cable schedules, method statements and HSE/QA/QC procedures.
