What you will do
- Represent before government authorities, donors, UN entities, civil society organizations, and other national stakeholders.
- Lead the development and implementation of the Country Programming Framework, Country Work Plan, and contributions to UN planning frameworks.
- Manage and monitor country programmes and projects, including emergency, recovery, rehabilitation, and technical cooperation activities.
- Mobilize extrabudgetary resources and build partnerships with governments, donors, NGOs, UN entities, and international organizations.
- Lead the Country Office, managing personnel, budgets, security, operational risks, and internal controls.
- Coordinate emergency preparedness and response while promoting food security, agriculture policy, and sustainable development priorities.
Requirements
- Advanced university degree in agriculture, forestry, fisheries, rural development, or a related field.
- At least 10 years of relevant experience in planning, formulating, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating field programmes.
- Working proficiency in Spanish and English is required.
- Experience managing country programmes from design through delivery, including monitoring and evaluation.
- Experience coordinating technical cooperation, emergency, recovery, and rehabilitation programmes.
- Experience in resource mobilization and cooperation with national governments and international organizations.
Nice to have
- Experience working in more than one location or area of work, particularly in field positions.
- Experience designing collaborative networks and joint programmes.
