What you will do

• Build and ship AI agent features end to end, from Node.js and TypeScript services on AWS to interfaces for configuring, testing, and observing agents.
• Extend the AI agent platform with skills, workflows, sandboxes, tools, connectors, tracing, auditing, and orchestration.
• Integrate and orchestrate LLM, speech-to-text, and text-to-speech providers using prompt and context engineering, tool calling, structured outputs, and streaming.
• Build evaluations, tracing, and monitoring to improve AI quality, latency, reliability, cost, privacy, and security.
• Drive product discovery, propose solutions, and iterate on shipped features using quality and adoption signals.
• Contribute to architecture decisions, code reviews, knowledge sharing, and collaboration across the AI Agents stream.

Requirements

• 5+ years of commercial software engineering experience with strong JavaScript/TypeScript and Node.js backend skills.
• Confidence working across the frontend with React or an equivalent framework.
• Hands-on experience building and shipping LLM-powered features used by real users in production.
• Practical knowledge of prompt and context engineering, tool or function calling, structured outputs, RAG, streaming, and production handling of non-deterministic behavior.
• Production AWS experience with serverless or containerized environments, plus knowledge of REST/API design, WebSockets, SQL, NoSQL, caching, testing, CI/CD, and production debugging.
• English B2 or above and remote work from Ukraine required.

Nice to have

• Experience with multi-step agentic orchestration, tool selection, state management, guardrails, or failure recovery.
• Experience in security- or privacy-sensitive environments, including GDPR or ISO 27001.
• Open-source contributions, side projects, technical writing, talks, or similar public evidence of technical experimentation.
• Experience with WebRTC, streaming speech-to-text or text-to-speech, and low-latency voice pipelines.
