Senior Software Engineer - Business Automation (TypeScript): Building full-stack business-critical software, databases, cloud infrastructure, and operational tooling that support the development and manufacture of a reusable spaceplane with an accent on cross-functional automation and end-to-end product ownership. Focus on designing reliable applications, deployment pipelines, and intuitive user experiences while solving complex operational challenges across engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, finance, and operations.
Location: Christchurch, Canterbury, New Zealand

What you will do
- Design, build, and maintain business-critical full-stack software supporting the Spaceplane programme.
- Develop frontend and backend applications and create intuitive user experiences for internal teams.
- Design and maintain databases, cloud infrastructure, deployment pipelines, and operational tooling.
- Own the roadmap and priorities for internal business systems.
- Work with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, finance, and operations teams to identify challenges and deliver practical solutions.
- Take projects from initial concept through implementation with a high degree of autonomy and ownership.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- 3+ years of professional experience in full-stack software development.
- Strong TypeScript development experience.
- Experience designing, building, and maintaining production software systems.
- Ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
- Practical, hands-on approach with willingness to own outcomes.
Nice to have
- Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning systems, Manufacturing Execution Systems, or Quality Management Systems.
- Experience in production or manufacturing engineering environments.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure, DevOps, or Site Reliability Engineering.
- Product ownership or technical leadership experience.
