What you will do

• Teach Life Sciences at FET level across multiple grades and classrooms.
• Prepare learners for internal assessments and IEB National Senior Certificate examinations.
• Deliver engaging, technology-supported enquiry-based lessons and monitor student progress through ongoing assessment.
• Set ambitious learning goals, provide feedback, and adjust instructional content and delivery based on assessment data.
• Observe, coach, and model effective teaching for apprentice and new teachers.
• Collaborate with Deans, learning designers, parents, committees, and co-curricular teams, including occasional supervision and weekend events.

Requirements

• B.Ed. in Senior Phase and FET Teaching with Life Sciences as an FET teaching specialisation.
• Proven FET-level Life Sciences teaching experience, preferably recent experience in an IEB school environment.
• Strong understanding of IEB assessment and examination requirements and thorough knowledge of the Life Sciences curriculum.
• Strong classroom management, assessment, planning, organisational, and independent classroom leadership skills.
• Ability to use technology for instruction and commitment to enquiry-based, student-centred learning.
• SACE registration and a clear criminal record.
