What you will do

• Deliver real-world, enquiry-based Chemistry lessons aligned with South African curriculum requirements.
• Create organized, developmentally appropriate classrooms that support focused learning and positive student behaviour.
• Set ambitious academic goals, provide meaningful feedback, and remain accountable for student mastery of academic standards.
• Provide accommodations and modifications that support the growth and success of all students.
• Integrate interactive technology into instruction and build constructive relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
• Support the school’s rigorous learning environment and mentor apprentice teachers with guidance from Deans of Instruction.

Requirements

• Relevant Bachelor of Education degree in Teaching.
• At least 3 years of Chemistry teaching experience.
• Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Flexibility and the ability to handle uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity.
• Proactive problem-solving skills and a willingness to embrace feedback and mutual vulnerability.
• Ability to work onsite at Ruimsig Secondary School in South Africa.
