Regional Process Owner - Record to Report (EU & APAC)

What you will do

• Own and maintain the Record-to-Report target operating model across 16 markets, standardizing accounting workflows for Foodora and Foodpanda entities.
• Design a continuous close strategy aligned with IFRS, improving close-cycle speed, data accuracy, and internal controls.
• Act as the finance bridge to IT and technical teams, optimizing SAP S/4HANA for external reporting, sub-ledger integrations, and automated reconciliations.
• Architect and deploy automation for journal entries, intercompany reconciliations, fixed assets, and financial reporting.
• Lead the AI and advanced automation roadmap, including anomaly detection, automated journal entries, and predictive close analytics.
• Manage, coach, and develop the R2R process team while governing the relationship with the Shared Service Center and partnering with finance, tax, audit, and accounting stakeholders.

Requirements

• Fully qualified professional accountant with CPA, ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or an equivalent qualification.
• 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in accounting, finance transformation, or global R2R process ownership within a multinational environment.
• Proven experience managing and developing direct teams, including people managers and individual contributors.
• Hands-on expertise with SAP S/4HANA finance modules, including FI/CO or FICA, and enterprise integrations.
• Experience designing internal controls, including SOX or comparable internal compliance frameworks.
• Experience leading large-scale change across cross-functional partners, Shared Service Centers, and regional leadership.

Nice to have

• Experience evaluating or deploying AI/ML-driven finance solutions, predictive forecasting, financial narratives, reconciliation matching, or advanced RPA in an R2R context.
• Background in technology, quick-commerce, e-commerce, or hyper-growth operational environments.
• Project management or process improvement certification, such as PMP or Lean Six Sigma.
• Familiarity with Tableau, Power BI, or SQL for close-process monitoring and reporting analytics.
