Software Engineer (Python)

Location: Strovolos, Nicosia, Cyprus. Part-time role with regular office presence during the probation period, followed by a hybrid schedule aligned with the agreed part-time arrangement.

What you will do

• Develop, maintain, and enhance Python-based applications.
• Build and support frontend and backend features for web applications.
• Participate in requirements discussions, solution design, documentation, and the software development lifecycle.
• Write clean, maintainable, and testable code and create unit tests.
• Monitor applications, troubleshoot issues, and provide technical support to internal users.
• Collaborate with engineers and internal stakeholders to deliver reliable billing solutions.

Requirements

• 2+ years of software development experience.
• Hands-on Python development experience and knowledge of software engineering best practices.
• Experience with SQL, relational databases, and web application development.
• IT-related university education or equivalent, or current studies in a relevant field.
• Knowledge of core software development principles and basic Agile methodologies.
• Good spoken and written English, analytical skills, ownership, and collaborative working style.

Nice to have

• Basic knowledge or hands-on experience with Django.
• Familiarity with Oracle databases.
• Python experience from internships, university projects, personal projects, or commercial development.
• Exposure to both frontend and backend development.
