TL;DR
Mobile Applications Developer (Android) (Kotlin/Java): Building and supporting high-performance Android applications with an accent on scalable architecture, REST API integration, offline storage, and performance tuning. Focus on translating UI/UX designs into reliable code, automating testing, troubleshooting production issues, and collaborating with backend, QA, and business teams.
Location: Singapore; open only to Singapore Citizens. The role requires eligibility for a government security clearance (CAT 1) and prioritizes in-person collaboration.

What you will do
- Analyze, design, develop, implement, and support Android mobile applications through production.
- Translate UI/UX designs and wireframes into high-quality, scalable code.
- Build and maintain high-performance, reusable, and reliable applications.
- Optimize performance, troubleshoot bottlenecks, and resolve defects.
- Maintain code quality, documentation, and automated testing.
- Support deployment, release, post-release activities, and Agile collaboration with backend, QA, and business teams.
Requirements
- Eligibility for CAT 1 government security clearance and Singapore Citizenship are required.
- 3–5 years of relevant Android development experience.
- Android development using Kotlin and/or Java, with strong knowledge of the Android SDK, app lifecycle, and multiple Android versions.
- Experience integrating RESTful APIs, offline storage, threading, performance tuning, SQL, and database interaction.
- Proficiency with Git or SVN, plus understanding of Android UI/UX standards and Material Design.
- Diploma, Polytechnic, or bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field; relevant experience may substitute for formal education.
Nice to have
- Cross-platform or frontend experience with React Native, TypeScript, or Angular.
- Familiarity with biometric authentication, push notifications, and cloud messaging APIs.
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and automated build and release processes.
