Senior Data Scientist, Experimentation & AI Measurement

Location: Remote from anywhere in Mexico, with availability to travel to Mexico City for occasional office events

What you will do

• Design, build, validate, and productionize statistically rigorous methods for online experiment design and analysis.
• Develop automated monitoring, alerting, ramp-plan, early-stopping, and guardrail-harm capabilities for reliable experimentation.
• Lead experiment design reviews for high-visibility launches and identify flawed populations, hypotheses, and launch criteria.
• Define measurement frameworks for AI-assisted engineering and development tools, connecting adoption with behavioral, productivity, quality, and financial outcomes.
• Apply causal-inference methods to AI product and tooling measurement and create leadership-ready narratives and self-service insights.
• Mentor scientists and analysts, share data science best practices, and lead workstreams end to end.

Requirements

• Strong applied experience in online experimentation, causal inference, frequentist and Bayesian methods, and experimental or quasi-experimental designs.
• Experience diagnosing experimentation failure modes such as sample ratio mismatch, interference, temporal exposure bias, and multiple comparisons.
• Experience measuring productivity or product quality from telemetry and documenting metric limitations.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL, including tools such as NumPy, pandas, and scikit-learn.
• PhD plus 2 years, MS plus 4 years, or BS plus 6 years of experience in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Econometrics, Data Science, Machine Learning, or Operations Research.
• Ability to own analyses end to end, communicate clearly with technical and executive audiences, and mentor others.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI/ML measurement, LLM-assisted analysis, or agentic tools.
