Solutions Architect – Payments

Location: New York or San Francisco, with 3 days in the office; implementation coverage across the US

Salary: $200,000–$300,000 annual base pay, plus potential equity and bonus

What you will do

• Own technical pre-sales for complex payment and financial-product engagements.
• Design scalable integration architectures, system configurations, API strategies, and third-party connector approaches.
• Translate customer requirements into actionable implementation plans and coordinate cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
• Advise customers through integration challenges and complex configuration decisions without focusing on direct code writing.
• Create documentation, playbooks, and lightweight tools for integration-heavy use cases.
• Share customer feedback with Product and Engineering to influence roadmap priorities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience.
• 10+ years of experience in technical pre-sales involving complex, multi-stakeholder technology or financial-services implementations.
• 10+ years of client-facing delivery or professional-services experience in SaaS, fintech, consulting, systems integration, or enterprise implementation.
• Proven experience delivering cross-functional projects with C-level executives, technical teams, and operations stakeholders.
• Exceptional written, verbal, communication, presentation, and influencing skills.
• Ability to work from New York or San Francisco with 3 days in the office.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with API-based payments integrations or products.
• Experience managing strategic or enterprise engagements within broader account teams.
• Ability to operate effectively in fast-moving and ambiguous environments.
