Software Engineer, C++ (AR)

Location: Los Angeles, United States; office work expected 4+ days per week under hirify.global's “default together” policy

Salary: $133,000–$235,000 annually, depending on the assigned US pay zone; eligible for RSUs

What you will do

• Design, develop, and support LensCore features for Specs, hirify.globalchat Lenses, and Lens Studio.
• Optimize the LensCore AR engine for Specs.
• Collaborate with other teams to bring features to Lens creators.
• Participate in feature planning and create technical specifications.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of industry experience developing with C++.
• Strong computer science fundamentals and a bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of Python or JavaScript scripting.
• Understanding of Linux/Unix environments and command-line tools.
• Experience with rendering APIs such as DirectX, Metal, Vulkan, or OpenGL; a 3D engine such as Lens Studio, Unity, or Unreal; or computer vision, sensors, or machine learning.
• Hands-on experience with AI development tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, Codex, or similar.

Nice to have

• Experience with modern C++ and technical leadership.
• Experience creating developer-facing APIs and libraries.
• Knowledge of Qt, OpenCV, Eigen, or glm.
• Experience with AI-assisted design and development from specification creation through implementation.
