TL;DR
Business Intelligence (BI) Intern (Power BI/Data Analysis): Building and maintaining dashboards and reports while preparing datasets with Excel, Power Query, and data modelling, with an accent on DAX, visualisation, and reporting accuracy. Focus on supporting automation with PowerShell and Python, integrating APIs, and transforming data for reliable business intelligence workflows.

Location: Hybrid role in Malaysia, with 1–2 days on site at the DXC office in Petaling Jaya, Selangor. Working hours are 8:30 am to 5:30 pm.

What you will do

  • Assist with building and maintaining Power BI dashboards and reports.
  • Support data modelling, DAX calculations, data visualisation, and reporting.
  • Extract, cleanse, transform, and validate data using Excel, Power Query, and Pivot Tables.
  • Support simple automation tasks using PowerShell and scripts.
  • Use Python or other programming languages for data analysis, automation, and API integrations.

Requirements

  • Basic understanding of Power BI Desktop.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables and formulas.
  • Basic knowledge of DAX or data modelling.
  • Exposure to Python, PowerShell, scripting, automation tools, datasets, dashboards, or school projects.
  • Interest in data analysis, reporting, and visualisation, with attention to detail and willingness to learn.
  • Malaysian citizenship and final-year student status are required.
