2027 Summer Intern, Marketing and Communications

Location: Reston, VA or Atlanta, GA, United States. This is a 10-week, full-time internship running from early June through early August; relocation assistance is not available.

Salary: $37,855–$64,354 annualized pay range based on full-time employment.

What you will do

• Draft, edit, coordinate, and publish articles, newsletters, presentations, email campaigns, website content, social media posts, videos, and infographics.
• Support integrated marketing campaigns across digital and traditional channels.
• Coordinate project timelines, creative requests, campaign materials, approvals, and stakeholder communications.
• Research audiences, industries, competitors, media opportunities, and emerging marketing trends.
• Collect and analyze campaign data, performance metrics, and audience insights for reporting and recommendations.
• Support digital marketing, events, webinars, workshops, and other engagement activities while collaborating with cross-functional partners.

Requirements

• At least 15 completed college-level credit hours by the internship start date.
• Currently pursuing a bachelor's or graduate degree in marketing, communications, business, analytics, public relations, or a related field is preferred.
• Strong written, verbal, interpersonal, presentation, analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organization and time management with the ability to prioritize assignments and meet deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and contribute effectively in a collaborative environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.

Nice to have

• Interest or experience in content development, corporate communications, social media, digital marketing, campaign coordination, research, analytics, graphic design, or event support.
• Familiarity with marketing, design, content management, or analytics platforms.
• Curiosity, adaptability, dependability, and a proactive, service-oriented approach.
