Software Developer I (AI)

Location: Mississauga, Ontario, Canada; onsite at 1940 Argentia Rd

Salary: CAD 64,700–88,990 per year, based on relevant experience.

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications and data solutions.
• Participate in Scrum meetings and design sessions, and provide guidance on software architecture and coding standards.
• Support software infrastructure requests, troubleshoot complex systems, and maintain and rotate system secrets.
• Lead offshore resources in following software standards and guidelines.
• Coach and mentor developers while collaborating with business partners on operational support and consultation.
• Drive QA and process automation, continuous improvement, and Gen AI-focused innovation initiatives.

Requirements

• Strong experience in software development and application architecture.
• Experience troubleshooting complex systems and infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of coding standards, best practices, security practices, and secret management.
• Leadership experience managing offshore teams and mentoring developers.
• Knowledge of QA and process automation tools and frameworks.
• Age 16 or older; the role is based onsite in Mississauga, Canada.

Nice to have

• Experience with Astronomer, React Native, Power BI, Tableau, Kafka, or NiFi.
• Exposure to AI and Gen AI technologies.
• Strong communication skills and experience working in an agile environment.
