Data Infrastructure Engineering (AI)

Location: London, United Kingdom or Zurich, Switzerland. Starting January 26, 2026, employees living within 50 miles of a designated U.S. Microsoft office or 25 miles of a non-U.S. office are expected to work from that office at least four days per week, subject to local law and jurisdiction.

Salary: £93,500–£161,800 per year across the United Kingdom.

What you will do

• Build and scale data pipelines for training and evaluating multimodal AI models across text, image, audio, and video.
• Develop and operate data infrastructure and platforms for processing and managing petabyte-scale datasets.
• Own critical data systems and distributed computing frameworks supporting model development and research.
• Partner with model training teams to improve data quality, curation, experimentation, and model performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 6+ years of experience in software engineering, data engineering, data science, or analytics.
• Strong expertise, attention to detail, proactive problem-solving, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to shifting priorities.

Nice to have

• Experience building large-scale data platforms or analytics systems.
• Experience with AI/ML data, infrastructure, or distributed systems.
