TL;DR
Junior Network Engineer (IP/MPLS and Network Automation): Implementing and supporting custom network solutions for carrier and enterprise customers, including IP/MPLS backbones, fiber access networks, and new market sites with an accent on troubleshooting, router and switch management, and large-scale network operations. Focus on resolving escalated network issues, automating network-related processes, and maintaining reliable carrier infrastructure during on-call rotations.
Location: Asuncion, Paraguay. Hybrid work model combining in-person collaboration with remote work and flexible working hours.

What you will do
- Implement custom network solutions for carrier and enterprise customers.
- Resolve escalated technical issues from network operations, support, and monitoring teams.
- Assist with the design, implementation, and maintenance of the IP/MPLS backbone, fiber access networks, and DCS systems.
- Support new site deployments and market launches.
- Document network processes and solutions for internal distribution and cross-team training.
- Assist with network automation and participate in an on-call rotation after becoming comfortable with the environment.
Requirements
- At least one year of networking experience, or a technical support or call center background with a desire to transition into network engineering.
- Hands-on experience with IOS, IOS XR, or Junos, including command-line configuration and management of switches and routers.
- Working knowledge of IP, MPLS, BGP, and Ethernet fundamentals.
- Ability to collaborate and communicate with a remote, cross-regional team.
- Strong problem-solving skills, ownership, patience, and follow-through.
- Fluent English, written and spoken, is required.
Nice to have
- Experience supporting carrier or enterprise VoIP and data services.
- Knowledge of network security, IPv6, or MEF and IEEE Ethernet standards.
- Exposure to Python, shell scripting, monitoring systems, configuration management, or network automation frameworks.
- Experience with workflow and data visualization tools.
- Cisco or Juniper certifications, or a related bachelor's degree.
