What you will do
- Supervise winch erection team operations and fulfil a shift role on an underground shaft.
- Oversee the safe removal, transportation, and installation of winches according to schedule.
- Schedule tasks for erection teams and request transportation and logistical support.
- Call on specialist expertise when operational problems occur.
- Adjust shift plans and schedules to minimize the impact of unexpected problems.
- Stop operations when working conditions are unsafe and apply additional safety measures.
Requirements
- Grade 12 or NQF Level 4 with numeracy and literacy.
- Passed winch-erecting-specific modules.
- One year of related underground experience.
