Optical Assistant (Retinal Photography)

Location: Dublin City Centre, Dublin City, County Dublin and surrounding counties, Ireland. The role requires travelling to health centres and clinic locations using a company vehicle.

What you will do

• Conduct eye photography to help identify retinal damage caused by complications of diabetes.
• Travel to health centres and clinic locations across Dublin and surrounding counties.
• Work alongside Senior Diabetic Retinal Technicians, Team Leaders, programme managers and clinical leads.
• Provide professional patient care and support positive patient outcomes.
• Develop specialist knowledge in retinopathy through training and practical experience.

Requirements

• No previous experience is required.
• A full, clean Irish driving licence and own car are essential.
• Pre-existing right to work and travel within the EU is required; documentary evidence will be requested.
• IT literacy, including word processing, spreadsheets and regular use of Microsoft Office.
• Strong communication, prioritisation, initiative and problem-solving skills.
• A proactive work ethic and ability to work largely unsupervised after initial training.
