State and Local Tax Manager - Income and Franchise

Salary: $100,000–$189,200 per year, plus discretionary bonus

What you will do

• Lead complex state and local tax engagements and manage client relationships.
• Advise clients on nexus, unitary and business income, multistate tax planning, audit defense, and due diligence.
• Manage state tax compliance and consulting projects for corporate and pass-through entities.
• Review tax research and ensure conclusions align with firm policies and professional standards.
• Mentor and coach employees, provide performance feedback, and coordinate client service plans.
• Develop existing and new business, cross-sell services, and support practice growth.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a closely related field.
• Active CPA license in the state of residence, JD, LLM in Taxation, or Enrolled Agent credential.
• At least six years of income and franchise tax consulting experience in public accounting, consulting, or a law firm.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, detail-oriented, communication, and interpersonal skills.
