Senior Software Engineer, Backend (Go) (Payments): Building and enhancing large-scale wallet cash-in/cash-out services for digital payments with an accent on distributed systems, microservices, and transaction reliability. Focus on designing backend architectures, implementing payment features, optimizing performance and capacity, and resolving production incidents through on-call support.

What you will do
- Build and improve wallet cash-in and cash-out services for large-scale payment processing.
- Design backend components, features, algorithms, and architectures with business owners, engineering managers, and product managers.
- Participate in discovery sessions, research and development, code reviews, testing, debugging, performance tuning, and capacity planning.
- Explore and apply Generative AI to improve workflows and accelerate development.
- Investigate incidents, resolve production issues, and support on-call responsibilities to maintain service availability.
Requirements
- 6 years of backend engineering experience.
- Strong software engineering and coding skills with Go, Java, or another core programming language.
- Experience with relational databases, unit testing, and mock frameworks such as JUnit or Go Testify.
- Strong understanding of idempotency, the CAP theorem, distributed computing, and object-oriented design principles.
- Experience with observability tools such as Datadog, large-scale payment systems, microservices, gRPC, REST APIs, Kafka, and SQS.
- Ability to work on-site in Jakarta, Indonesia.
