Senior Software Engineer (Stream Processing & Analytics)

Location: Remote within the United States, including locations in Georgia, Minnesota, Texas, New York, North Carolina, Arizona, Washington, Massachusetts, and California.

Salary: $169,200–$214,320 per year.

What you will do

• Design, implement, and operate complex backend services in a cloud-native, microservices-based environment.
• Lead architecture and technical decisions balancing reliability, scalability, performance, security, and operability.
• Drive projects from requirements and design through implementation, rollout, and production operation.
• Define SLOs and SLAs, improve observability, and participate in on-call and incident response activities.
• Collaborate across teams on APIs, integrations, data models, tooling, and automation.
• Mentor engineers through code reviews, design reviews, and technical guidance.

Requirements

• Must be able to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.
• At least 5 years of experience building, scaling, and operating backend systems in production.
• Strong proficiency in a backend language such as Java, Go, C/C++, or Python, with solid data structures, algorithms, and system design fundamentals.
• Experience with distributed systems, event-driven architectures, high-throughput services, or large-scale data pipelines.
• Experience with public cloud platforms, containers, orchestration, databases, and storage systems.
• Bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with leading-edge backend, frontend, or DevOps technologies.
• Experience working in an Agile environment.
• Experience contributing to automated CI/CD pipelines.
