What you will do
- Inspect working areas and maintain safe mining conditions.
- Apply operating standards, procedures, job instructions, and checklists across the mining team.
- Manage explosives and prepare blasting areas for safe and effective construction blasting.
- Monitor mining processes and correct deviations to maintain compliance with standards.
- Coordinate with supervisors, shaft foremen, and team members on operations and maintenance.
- Prepare accurate shift reports and material order documentation.
Requirements
- Grade 12 qualification.
- National Certificate NQF Level 3 Rock Breaker or a valid underground hard-rock blasting certificate.
- 1–3 years of experience as a Miner or Crew Captain.
- Trackless mining experience is advantageous.
- Successful candidates must complete a medical fitness test.
