DCS Senior Application Engineer (Hardware)

Location: Taipei, Taiwan; onsite role with domestic and international travel to customer sites as needed

What you will do

• Support, manage, and maintain processor-based storage integrated circuits and reference designs.
• Collaborate with field application engineers, sales teams, and customer engineering teams to define requirements, manage deliverables, and support product design wins.
• Perform system bring-up, board-level debugging, testing, and transition of products into full production.
• Analyze customer architectures and hardware designs to provide technical support throughout the product lifecycle.
• Lead root-cause investigations and create customer-facing documentation, including user guides, release notes, training materials, reference designs, and application notes.
• Travel to customer sites to debug systems involving hardware, software, and firmware.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 7.5 years of experience in hardware or system design, debugging, and support.
• Strong system, hardware, and firmware development and debugging skills, including high-speed signal integrity, board design, and board-level bring-up.
• Experience with schematics, layout, protocol analyzers, exercisers, logic analyzers, and storage or networking test equipment.
• Strong technical leadership, teamwork, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to work across multiple geographical locations.
• Functional spoken and written English required.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with PCIe, SAS/SATA, mass storage hardware and firmware, or RISC-based embedded processors such as MIPS and ARM.
• Project management experience and experience supporting Tier 1 OEMs/ODMs through product ramps and production.
