Structural Engineer (Industrial): Performing structural analysis and design for building and industrial projects with an accent on US building codes, seismic and wind design, and multidisciplinary coordination. Focus on leading structural scopes, reviewing calculations, mentoring less experienced engineers, and maintaining quality across complex design projects.
Location: Spokane, Washington. Candidate home location must be in the USA Northwest Region, including Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Washington, or Wyoming, or Canada.
Pay range: $68–$75 per hour.

What you will do
- Perform structural analysis and design for building and industrial facility projects with limited supervision.
- Develop calculations, design documents, structural models, and design concepts.
- Apply US building codes, including wind, seismic, and lateral design provisions.
- Coordinate structural work with engineers, designers, drafters, and other disciplines.
- Review calculations and support quality control throughout the design process.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to designers, drafters, and less experienced engineers.
Requirements
- 10+ years of structural engineering experience.
- Strong knowledge of structural engineering principles, wind and seismic analysis, and design fundamentals.
- Experience applying US building codes and seismic and lateral design requirements.
- Ability to independently select and adapt engineering techniques, manage scope and workload, and meet schedule, budget, and quality expectations.
- Strong communication, engineering judgment, problem-solving, accountability, and attention to detail.
- Must be located in the USA Northwest Region or Canada.
Nice to have
- MS degree in Civil Engineering with a structural emphasis or an MS in Structural Engineering.
- Structural Engineer license (SE).
- Experience with semiconductor or general industrial facilities.
- Experience leading medium-sized teams and mentoring structural designers, drafters, and junior engineers.
- Interest in advancing structural workflows, systems, tools, and emerging technologies.
