Senior Software Engineer, Prime

Location: Ljubljana, Slovenia; in-person attendance required at least 3 days per week

What you will do

• Lead the design and end-to-end delivery of full-stack features across Prime backend services, frontend applications, and backoffice tooling.
• Build systems for institutional settlement, on-exchange credit, lending, tokenized securities, onboarding, account configuration, and reporting.
• Design client- and operations-facing journeys across the institutional lifecycle.
• Define failure states, invariants, recovery procedures, constraints, tests, and alerts for correctness-critical financial flows.
• Mentor engineers, conduct design-focused code reviews, and lead ambiguous technical projects through production operation.
• Participate in an on-call rotation to support business needs.

Requirements

• Experience independently delivering and operating complex, high-ambiguity projects with long-term impact.
• Strong production full-stack experience with a modern backend and component-based frontend.
• Experience with Python/Django and Go on the backend, and Vue on the frontend.
• Hands-on experience building financial systems such as balances, ledgers, risk engines, settlement, onboarding/KYC, or payments.
• Strong design judgment, including failure-path analysis, invariant definition, and validation through constraints, tests, or alerts.
• Excellent communication, design-level review, cross-team alignment, and mentoring skills.
